Hi everyone...

This one's probably best answered by those who've already made the move.

Did you book single or return plane tickets?

If you book singles, do you have to have any sort of special stamp in your passport / visa paperwork allowing you to use them?

Hi Daniel,
If you have a visa allowing you to live in NZ then you can have a single, if you don't have a visa then you won't be allowed in without a return ticket or one that has onward travel, e.g. to Australia after NZ.

Cheers,

Mark. ;)

RETURN unless you are eligible to stay... they WILL ask to see it.

Definitely a return if you are going on visit visa and don't have any other kind of visa. I was asked to show my return ticket by immigration man from hell. I don't think he believed me when I said I was arriving as a tourist.

Golden Arrow, pet shippers, told me that when they last delivered to Heathrow, people were being turned away from check in because they had single tickets and no visa. :no You don't get your visit visa stamped in your passport until you get to NZ.

You need a work visa or PR to be able to travel on one way tickets.
