Picked this up on another forum I'm on....The message I was replying to was on the all time low on the points. It seems to contradict what the people from the UK are being told. or the two offices work differently.

yes it is really low but they are processing those with job offers first so as not to keep them waiting to long. This means the ones with no job offers are being relegated to the back burner and could take a hell of a time to get to.

That's not correct.
The system works on a fortnightly basis and all applications chosen are processed together - at the office closest to where the applicant is based.
If you are applying from the UK that will be in London.
I put in my application with no job offer (my employers won't guarantee my job til December!) and my friend with a job offer and mine came through first. And we have the same amount of points so that wasn't the issue.
Go for it - they have quotas to meet which is why they are taking on so many people with only 100 points at the moment.
