Hi All,
I thought I'd post a quick synopsis of our past two and a half weeks in Wellington.
The kids were much better than expected on the flights, luckily they slept for most of them and seemed to enjoy it when they were awake. We arrived in Wellington on Thursday the 21st and apart from the apartment that we booked from the UK not being suitable for small children (open stairs and in the 'entertainment' district) meaning we had to move to a more expensive apartment in the CBD everything has gone very smoothly.
I had five interviews lined up for the week after we arrived, these ranged from Systems Engineers roles to a Consultant roles. Well I only ended up going for two of the interviews. One of the Systems Engineers roles and the Consultant Role, I was offered the Consultant role 30 minutes after leaving the interview and I started today! We have rented a house in Khandallah and bought a car also.
Well I started the job today and it seems like a really good company to work for. After my induction there was morning coffee with the entire company to meet and greet me!
There is so much in Wellington to do that we have been flat out and we are really enjoying it so far..........
Cheers,
Chris.
