Well thought I would up date you all on what's going on here up in Wigan.
Ian is leaving around the 16th Sep to start his job in Dannevirke :clap Oops sorry wrong emoticon :wah (he he)
He is coming back for Christmas where we will have our last Christmas here and then we will all fly out in Jan together as a family.
I am relieved about this because I was dreading saying goodbye to my family without the support of Ian, in fact I know I would have crumbled.
Update on House:- We had a viewing last week and they loved the place, they have a house to sell which should sell quick (fingers crossed) because it's more first time buyer property. They want to come back for a second viewing next week and have said they don't want to put an offer in for ours just yet until they have sold theirs. So that to me is positive feedback but I am not building my hope up too much. :P
If we sell the house before Christmas. me and the kids will move into Ros and Jeff's (in-laws) and I will arrange to ship our furniture so it will be there when we arrive. That way familiar things will be waiting the kids when they get there.
If we don't then we will sell the house empty, I may arrange shipping before Christmas anyway so the goods aren't too far behind us.
The kids can then start a new term with everyone else in Jan so thay are settling in with everyone else in the school albiet they will still be newbies.
We are going to keep the house up for sale until contracts are exchanged just in case anything falls through.
Thing is I will miss Ians 40th birthday which falls whilst he is in NZ, so Diny you will have to pick up the mantle for me there girl :nice1 :cheers and buy a pressie for me I'll ring you about that nearer the time.
Ian will also miss his sons 7th birthday :wah but I will do something nice so Kurt doesn't miss his dad too much, although I know I'll miss him.
So I hope that keeps everyone in the picture upto now.
chin chin everyone

Oh Lordy ..... things are moving fast.
Right ... no worries about the present buying thingy - will be my pleasure. Will also make sure he's suitabley well oiled too :cheers
So ...... you arrive in January? I can't blooming wait. I'm so happy that Ian will be with you for support when you leave your folks. You saw me the night I'd said goodbye to my family ...... what kind of emotional wreck was I? You'll need all the support you can muster - brilliant that Ian will be with you.
Don't beat yourself up about Ian missing Kurts birthday. Mark has missed more of our boys birthdays than he's been home for (he missed Henny's in June and will be away for Fergies in December). We always make a big thing of it ..... and remember - webcams are brilliant.
Can't tell you how much the news of your arrival has cheered me up. My mum and dad arrive here on December 31st for 9 weeks. January will be spent touring round the S.I but when we get back our first port of call will be sunny Dannevirke. Did you know that on Feb 3rd it's the Dannevirke Agricultural and Produce Show? Mum & Dad (being farmers) are almost looking forward to that more than the S.I. trip
Try not to worry about leaving your house empty. As you know we've done that. As long as you've got friends and family close by who can just keep an eye on it you'll be OK. And remember - an empty house always looks much bigger :nice1
From what I can work out the kids go back to school the first week of February. Getting them started at the onset of a new year is a good idea. However, if they're anything like my boys they'll have little or no problems settling in. Here we are at the end of the boys 2nd week at school and they're just acting and looking like one of the crowd.
Anyway - I'll PM you. Or I might even call you. I'm made up with this news ........ it's been a long time coming.
Don't worry about Ian getting lonely ..... there's some nice local Maori girls around Dannevirke who just love fresh Pommy meat :eek :eek
Speak soon mate.

Good news Bradleys - fingers crossed for you all....
Sure Diny will look after Ian, and vice versa as he is quite a wiz with telephones and computers I believe :laugh
Ian is apparently looking forward to learning the local lingo as he is a bit of a cunning linguist, especially when it comes to dealing with call centres :exit
Jan says scrapbooking weekends at your house then eh? While Ian's away, the girls will play.
Speak soon.

Gonna go back on Monday when I have more time and lose myself ...... it was Jan mentioning the scrap booking that made me post this.
Here ya go - you can have ya thread back now.
