My girlfriend and I are relocating to Auckland in January. I am trying to get prices for shipping my dog but they are very expensive approx £4200 plus other costs.

Has anyone used a good reliable company and how did they get on with the various jabs and sample sending for the dog certificate etc

Blimey! :eek I've had quotes for shipping 2 dogs (1 medium and 1 small) plus 2 cats, from Scotland to NZ, and all came in at less than £4k total! :yes

You are all so lucky being able to plan ahead like this. We had to have a 10 1/2 year old dog Lucy put down yesterday afternoon. I feel worse about this than when my parent's died and am finding it so hard to function. This leaves us with one cat and 2 rabbits. At the moment with all the negative things about moving to NZ being posted, reconsidering whether we still want to emigrate especially having to rehome the rabbits who don't do hutches! :(

We used Ladyhaye at heathrow and have our boys here safe and sound. it was about £4500 for one lab size and one alsation size the cages were well made and the dogs had enough room to move about a bit. I have also heard several good reports about golden arrow in shropshire and if they hadn't been so far away we would have probably used them
