Depends on your budget. But, I recommend visiting this website - www.wotif.co.nz. Here, you'd find hotels and serviced apts, at discounted rates and you can book online.
Or try www.auckland-apartments.co.nz. At the moment, you get a very decent studio for about $600.00p/w but the price changes from month to month and as October is low season and I reckon it would be about $400p/w but you'd have to wait till nearer the time to find out...
