Thanks Tony and Norma and Stu. I am now thoroughly homesick for NZ :wah . One of my favourite places in the world is Piha :nice1 . Not just the beach but there are some fabulous bush walks around there too! Lots of happy memories!! Can't wait to move home (only another year or two to go!!)

Is that first pic taken at Opononi (spelling) - Up in 'Opo' the dolphin" country.
If so - we were there last year - fantastic.
If I knew how to put pics on this site I'd show you some of mine - any clues?

If you want, I can host them on my photo site, which can handle the traffic.

To load pics here is easy...well, sorta. First you need pics on your comp, yeah? Then size them appropriately for internet use (about 1/10th rez)...programs like Windows "Picture It" have a setting in their "Save" list as "Save special" which you click on and gives you the option of "save as a web ready pic" or something. Makes the files small enough to load onto the net you see.
Then, when you have resized your pics, got to www.myfishingpictures.com, get your password etc (easy to do), and you will have your own album waiting for you. Upload your smaller pics onto this site (limit of around 200kb per pic I think) by clicking on the UPLOAD button. This then takes you to a pop-up that has in the middle of it "Browse" which takes you to your pictures file. Double click on the pic you want to upload. It also gives you options for labeling the pic as well as a space to describe more fully the pic. Hit "enter", and bobs your uncle.
Your pic is now saved on an online site.
Next, at the bottom of your pic on the Myfishingpics site there is a small code, like http://www.myfishingpictures.com/img/018309.jpg . Copy that and come back to this site. Then you just type in paste in the pics html code http://www.myfishingpictures.com/img/018309.jpg and close it with and your pic will come up like this...
http://www.myfishingpictures.com/img/018309.jpg
and that is how you load your pic up on this site.
Sound complicated really, but it ain't. As I load my pics onto the comp (And I load MANY!), the better ones I go thru and save as web ready pics, so the 1st part of the process is usually done before I need to access a certain pic to pop onto a site.
And yes Penguin, I did indeed pop in a fish pic... I mean, Mate, come on, 90% of my pics are of fish, the rest are of things boating pretty much. (OK a few pics of the beach house etc )
So anyhow, that is how you postpics here. Easy huh?
cheers, Stu.

one thing though, as nice as it is to see these photos directly on the page, it makes the loading process a slow one for the poor wretches that are forced to use dialup connections. Maybe a description and link would be a way to avoid this.

Hi Timbo... no, those are the cliffs along the Western Bays, on Lake Taupo. I think just to the noth of the Waterfall falling nito the lake, you know?
The cliffs keep going straight down for another 200ft.
I'll have a look, find some whitianga pics for you if you like...
cheers pal, have ot go to the farm for a while now...,

Moorf, that's probably in the same area. We actually just stopped on the side of the road somewhere, though. I think we just liked the view and pulled over.
Regardless, it really is a beautiful area. Can't wait to head out that way again.
