Hi

This is my first real post. What a brilliant forum and such lovely helpful people.

We are looking at moving to Christchurch and house prices in Halswell seem quite reasonable. Does anybody have any info regarding schools (would need intermediate and secondary), commuting times to city and just general info on what the area is like.

We're in Oxfordshire - ideally would like to be in NZ for January, depends on when we get that phone call! Just need to get a job, sell the house.............

We submitted our ITA 20/7 and have just received the letter saying that was received! 120 points no job offer. Only thing that might be needed is some letters from past employers going back 10 years and we now have those too.

We are in lovely Linchmere at present, a small group of houses basically, inbetween Liphook and Haslemere. We would like to go asap and although we will now have to complete a 2 month rolling extension on our rental, we would probably pay the rent up and go early. We don't want to let the grass grow.

We wanted to go to Napier/Hawkes Bay area and that is still our long term goal.

However for work, Gary is in IT, we thought it would be Auckland for a while and that's fine. However seems like we may now be headed towards Wellington as Gary has been talking to some people there with the kind help of a forum member here.

Welly is fine with us too although I now have to shift my research and list making there. We did visit in Feb and loved it too. I just feel I know nothing about Welly yet but hey ho I'll soon find out when I get there!
Looks like we're crawling up the queue together then. I really want that interview phone call.......

What will you do in NZ and how are the children about going?
