Well, after a week of mental torture and finally sending to polite email yesterday, our CO called Craig on his mobile this lunchtime to say we'd got PR! Still can't quite believe it - after all this waiting it's finally happened! (she said there's a backlog so we won't get our passports back for 3-4 weeks, but it's not like we need them!)

And I can't even get drunk tonight (hurry up, baby, I need to celebrate!).

Just need to get baby born, house sold and we're off!!

Look forward to hearing from all you people who sent your ITAs off in July that you've been successful!

Thanks for everyone's support!

If that kinda news isn't enough to start labour, I don't know what is?

All the best

Excellent News

New baby new house they say, but I don't recall anyone stipulating where that new house would be !!!!

Good Luck with the baby and all your future plans.

I would give you some dancing bananas, but I still can't find them !!!!!

:raebanana :raebanana :raebanana :raebanana Congrats I put that lucky curse on you again! I can highly recommend an Elderflower sparkling non-alcoholic wine kind of thing they sell in Sainsburys! No - not for bringing labour on! Well it might, but I can't say for sure!Good luck to you all, and keep us posted!

What brilliant news !!!!! I'm so pleased for you.

Maybe you could replace the champagne needed to celebrate with a slug of cod liver oil, followed by a hot curry followed by hot s*x .......... can't say it worked for me (my 2nd was 2 weeks overdue) but hey - it'll help pass the time.

Good news ....... eagerly awaiting the next installment.

Well done, it's a great feeling after all the paperworkm, I was on a high for about week after I got the call. Then I realised that getting the PR was the easy, the hard bit was shipping your life to NZ.

Are you going to have the baby before you go ? How do you go about getting PR for the baby, do you have to fill out more forms and then send another passport ?

Kate

Diny has given you the same advice I was about too.

Well all good things come in 3's so they say so all that's left is new baby and a house sale and you're off.

I bet that's a relief off your mind before the new baby comes I'll bet, and good for you for badgering them...........that's exactly what I would have done:D.

Come baby we want to meet you.

All the best and remember have loads of gas and air, I'd have another baby just for the gas and air, in fact I'd even have gas and air at conception!!!!!!!!

yeah yeah yeah gimmie some now - great stuff - Kev says I was acting like a drunk when i had it each time - they should sell it by the bottle!!!

Anyway Kate and family - many congratulations from us. Well on your way now. Just one more 'little thing' to wait for now and you're almost sorted!!

Thanks everyone. It still hasn't sunk in yet - feels strange not to be checking my email every 10 seconds (then my deleted box just in case it was accidentally deleted, then my spam box etc, then get desperate and start sending myself emails just to make sure the email's working).

I'll try all the suggestions to get labour started - have tried most of them anyway. I agree, gas and air is good at first (seem to remember Craig enjoyed it), but there's nowt like an epidural for getting rid of the pain!!

Anyway, hope to have some news on that front soon

Hi Kate

Well done!!

Just read my "approved in principle" email for the twentieth time to check there's no catches. Too early for a beer and seven hour drive ahead (groan!). Cant wait to get home and start planning everything proper !!

Good luck with the next hurdle (Curry always works for me!!)

That's fantastic news - I'd been wondering when you were going to hear. Isn't it a fantastic feeling!? Still hasn't sunk in yet that we're actually going - Nelson's beautiful, isn't it?

Had a chicken madras last night and has done nothing at all - am going to have another tonight (might try vindaloo this time - good job I like hot food, eh?).

Hope you enjoyed Gay Paree.
