yesterday evening a man came up our drive ,said he was just driving around the area ,he asked was our house still up for sale ?
It has been on the market for 5 weeks and not one sniff of a viewer !!
I told him it was ,he said his house was selling [completion in 4 weeks ],he called the estate agent ,who called us ,I said yes come today at 5 ,spent the day cleaning up ,they came ,they like it ,they want it ,we have shook hands on it .

OMG....it can't possibly come off ...CAN IT ???

Excellent news. Hope it all goes through ok. Word of advice dont have sold put on the sale board yet just in case and see if you can get a early exchange then 6 weeks for completion to help you get things sorted out and to try and tie them in a little.

Excellent news Marie. You have to take any, and every opportunity you can get at the moment to sell and start to live your dream. Just wish somebody would walked down my drive and say the same, because the agent ain't doing much for us:( Hoping for a bit of interest over the next few days as we have the National Boat Festival behind us, with an expected audience of 30,000. Have put a For Sale sign down on the canal pointing towards our house. So here's hoping.

Good on you Marie & Dave.

Yes it can happen !!!!! Remember our wonderful buyer - the enigmatic Buyer number 2? Well he did exactly the same thing, we shook on it, he was true to his word and we completed within a matter of a very short time.

I've got everything crossed for you - I sooooooo hope it allo happens. Can't wait to see you out here.

Keep us posted.

Just because it happened in at a time and in a way that you weren't expecting doesn't mean it isn't real! Of course it can happen Marie, this is fantastic news, Congratulations ! :raebanana :raebanana
Best wishes for the exchange and completion :yes

PS I've just looked at our recently appointed estagent's website, and our house in now on there!! No For Sale sign yet though (mind you, no Boat Festival with 30,000 visitors either!)

Marie

Is the person local to you already. If so do you think maybe the estate agent wasn't marketing your house very well?

Fingers crossed it will complete quickly.
