I looked for a while then decided I would just ask. My EOI got sent to Hamilton because I'm in Rotorua. How has everyone's timing been if you're already here when you submit your EOI?

Thanks!

Hi Michele

We submitted our EOI early July this year. We were pulled for the next pool selection and had our ITA in our hands within 2 weeks!!! Ours is being looked after by Auckland, I am hoping to dispatch it from our end within the next 7-10 days. Will let you know the timings from there on.

Cheers

Amanda

We put ours in at Hamilton one day next day puller from pool. ITA arrived a couple of days later now waiting for final checks.

We had our police check done before we left UK meds done here.

Hiya,

EOI submitted on 30th March
Selected next day
ITA recieved 4th April

Submitted ITA end June (took a while to gather other evidence together)
Was contacted and received request for more evidence 5th July
submitted more evidence (had to wait for it to be posted from England)
Then had medical defered for futher tests by mid July.
Had PR granted after sending further tests back by start of August.
Transfered files to London and had Susan and Jon's Passports back in two weeks with PR stamps! (one week before they flew out here!)

Basically the process would have taken 2 months from submitting EOI providing I wasn't defered, had to get more evidence and get stuff sent from England each time. During this time i made contact with my case officer and I NEVER got pushy and always remained in their favour. The Palmeston North Office handled my case.

Hope this helps.

John.

Well it all sounds much faster if you do it over here. I can't wait to get started.

Thanks for the info!

Hi Mechidna

Our PR was processed in Hamilton as well. We had our ITA within a couple of weeks of being selected, submitted the ITA on 26th July and received approval in principle on 31st August. Very straightforward indeed. We did our meds here in Rotorua (haven't been able to find anywhere particularly cheap - we used our GP at the rotorua medical centre).

Good luck

Hi,

We applied to the Hamilton office in July 04 and had our residency aproved in Sept 04. From start to finish it took about 6/7 weeks. very quick and the staff were more helpful than NZIS in London.

Well, I received my ITA on the 14th. Wow, it is very, ah, thorough...Guess I know what I will be doing for awhile.
