Hi All,
Quite a few things have happened in the last 48 hours. We did not exchange and complete as planned on Wednesday!

It took until Thursday along with a £500 cheque from me, to our buyers buyers to get us to completion.

So we've done it, were out and money is in the bank. I have also resigned, with my firm accepting 2 weeks notice so I finish on Friday 16th September!

Then, last night, even though I had already been given a job offer, I had a second interview with another firm in New Plymouth (I kept it going in case I could not get to Palmerston in time to accept the job (due to delays with the house sale....but that's another massively long story).

Well, I say second interview, they started talking about terms and conditions immediately and wanted a decision before I went to sleep ( so that they could get a contract to me asap before my deadline to accept the other job came and went (which was today))!

After a late night walk and several cups of tea I decided to accept their offer (at 2am this morning) and have just faxed off a signed copy of my contract.

So, unfortunately were not on the way to Palmy, but over to New Plymouth. Thanks to everyone for all the support and advice, please keep it coming I am sure I will need it now and in the future more than ever.

We will only be 3 hours away in NP, so we can still meet up once settled.

Everything seems almost too good to be true at the moment (they are even flying us all over business class, amonst many other things), so I am finding it difficult to breathe without taking deep breaths!

I wanted to let everyone know that even in the darkest times (which we have had in the last 10 weeks) if you keep at it and keep your head on, then it can all come together.

Best of luck to you all, keep the faith!

Thanks everyone, we did do a bit of bouncing about for a while. After being set on wellington for such a long time it was very difficult to think about anywhere else. All the work we had put into finding out almost every last detail!

Anyway, I guess were going to have to find it all afresh about NP.

(Can't believe that we've spent the weekend packing ....yes still packing, even though we have moved out and the 1000ft3 storage area is full.

Should have listened to those clever packing people, they wanted to give us a 40footer!
