Hi,

Im new to the forum so please bear with me if this has been asked many times before.

We are arriving in nz early 2005 on WHV's. We are planning on settling in chch for ~12months. We will be looking to rent a property (probably a small flat), get a car, open a bank account etc. How easy will it be for us to do all of that ? Do letting agencies require references? Howmuch per week can we expect to pay ? Can we set up bank accounts without a permanent address ? How easy will it be to furnish a flat cheaply - or should we ship all of our essentials from the UK ?

If anyone thats been in a similar situation can post there experiances it would be a great help :D
