For those who out their ITA in in person at New Zealand house, did you have to ring in advance to get an appointment or did you just turn up and wait it out?

We're hoping to lodge it on Friday 23rd Sept. as I'm in London then anyway.

We took it in (well Craig did) and we didn't phone up. As mentioned above, just take a ticket and wait. The guy Craig saw said they prefer people to bring them in person as they can go through everything while you're there and check that all's in order.

Good luck!

Yep just go up and take it in. Took Gary 10 mins waiting, the guy went through it all and checked the copies and gave originals and passports back.

Eazy pezy lemon squeezy.

Good luck

Thanks all - would be nice to have passports back as I am working in Germany now - hopefully KLM will accept my Driving Licence as proof for travel, but not sure with the EU rules anymore :)

You have to have a passport to travel. 'They' or KLM will not permit you to travel on any other document. :exit

I could use a Driving Licence within the UK (Cardiff -> Glasgow) - I was hoping it would be good enough now we are all one happy European Family ;)

Hi,

For those who took them in person - were you the Principal Applicant or spouse of ? Does it matter who takes it or can it be anyone mentioned in the ITA ? Thanks,

Tracey

It could be anyone, the PA or anyone in general. :clap :clap

If you've got questions though they might only speak to the PA or spouse etc:(

Put it in on Thursday - VERY easy. I had photocopied all my original documents, they stamped them all and gave me the originals back there and then - the whole process took 10 minutes - I was very impressed.

He said that I should hear from a case officer within a month and we may even get a decision before Christmas - it would have been a lot faster if I had a job offer, but you can;t have everything :)

Just have to keep everything crossed now :)
