We are thinking of using them as they came out a lot cheaper than the others and we have additional cost of a dog, plus we need a 40ft container(£4800), so we could do with using the cheapest shipping company.

1. Did you have a full container load?
2. Did they pack straight into the container outside your house?
3. What did they wrap your furniture in?
4. Did they use their own people to pack the container or sub-contract out?
5. Who did they use in NZ to deliver & unpack.
6. Did you insure the shipment with them or use someone else?
7. When did you ship with them?
8. How long did the shipment take?
9. Where in NZ did you go, we are going to CHC?

Sorry for so many questions.
I look forward to hearing from someone soon.

Hiya

This will be quick because I'm supposed to be packing.

Curtiss are coming Monday with less than a weeks notice and a change from 20 to 40 fter and from AKL to WLG. They have been brill. £4,600 for the 40 with car, 2x motor bikes and 2 x cycles and house and home office minus big stuff like beds and sofas.

They pack and load up the stuff in their lorry, shove the bikes in and they drive our car to pompei to the warehouse(impressed at that. The warehouse manager is in charge of packing the container which wil be done that week and the container goes off. They wrap the furniture in proper wrapping stuff but don't crate the motorbikes which is fine by us at £350 a crate quotes from others, I don't think so. The other quotes we had for a 40 fter came in at 5,600 - 6,000 plus bike crates as above.

NZ van lines the other end. I've heard good and bad about them but we'll see. We have the full pack door to door unpack service cept for the car, but they bring the bikes to us. Handy really otherwise we would be running out of arms and legs.

We are using Letton percival for the insurance 1.5% big form, lotsa money saved. :clap

Andrew at Curtiss told me not to panic if the guys didn't turn up until about 10 am as there are 2 tea bars between portsmouth and here. Least he was honest enuf to tell me but i'm sure I'll be climbing the walls by about 6.00 am anyway.

I'll be able to tell you more about the packing day later and even more when we get to the otherside.

Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks Deborah, it's all happening your end now!!!

Yes i've already had quotes from them, but cannot find the elusive people who have used them already! We would like them to pack container outside our house, we also have 40ft but they have quoted us £4800, suppose we are a bit further away in Essex! Will look into Letton Percival though, thanks.

Good luck with the packing (Martyn has been packing then garage this week and cleaning stuff also).

Karen they were brill!!

2 guys turned up to pack our whole house, Chris and Nathan. Worked like trojans and did not stop until the lorry pulled away at 7pm.

I can't fault them on their wrapping etc (yet) or packing.

Would certainly recommend them so far.
