Hi,

how hard is it to find outdoor jobs, I am fed up of being chained to a desk, and call me crazy but my ideal job would be to own a stable yard, or maybe work in one to start off? we were thinking of either Christchurch area or Dunedin?

either that or I could just sit on my laurels :raebanana and let the hubby earn the crust :cheers

I await your views :nice1

If you want outdoor work then why not approach the Botanical Gardens in either Dunedin or Christchurch, or a garden centre, or zoo (!) or animal reserve/rescue centre?

If money isn't an issue how about volunteering for a conservation team or similar?

:yes thanks moorf, funny how I seem to be glued to the PC when I am at home and wish I was else where at work :D
this site has me hooked, but I had a look at the other parts of the website and if the bit about the cost of livings correct I can see me being chained to the desk for the first year or so - I just hope I find a decent hourly rate - as what they pay in the area we live in at the minute can be dismal in some places. :no

shame I don't have green fingers - but I am getting better, the 3 plants I got from B&Q are still alive after 4 mths!!! :cheers

oh well back to scanning in all the kids first artworks and special bits from the loft!
