A couple of questions for those of you who have 'been there, done that'.
Now we are in the heady position of 'got visas, booked flight(for OH anyway), do we have to do anything to change our visa into a permit when we arrive or does it automatically become one?
Secondly do we have to pay the migant levy on arrival or is that only when you get PR?

Nothing at all. It will automatically become a permit once you have set foot in NZ. I could be wrong, but i think immigration deals with it at airport, but i could be wrong.

No levy needed. It is only payable on the PR route.
