Quick update folks.

After PR came through we hit the phones for tickets. Ooops bit expensive at £3,300 each or fully booked from Hong kong to Akl/wellington.

So have managed the last 2 seats on the plane for next weds from heathrow to LAX, hop off, overnight in the Crowne Plaza, leave our 64 KG EACH of luggage there and hop on a little plane to las Vegas to see Gary's Dad and his wife. Back to LA on the Saturday for the last leg to Wellington via AKL arriving monday.

The bank give us an apartment for a week. Gary goes to work on Tuesday and I'll slope off and have brekkie!!! No I will be looking for a rental. promise. or booking in the Bucket tree motel.

I had a bit of an emotional crisis today, it all seems so real now, our Ozzie landlady, lovely Louise held me for 10 mins while I sobbed on the drive. Still at least it meant Gary did all the ticket booking :clap :clap

Loft cleared, garden cleared, brain dead.

The very best of luck to you both. Sounds like a great trip you have planned there.

I have fingers and toes crossed for the weather here to be soooo fine for when you land here.

Not cheap to get here is it?

No they (cathay pacific) quoted £3,300 EACH. emirates wanted £4,000

Slow boat, I was gonna start walking.

The NZ advert just came on the telly and we both looked at each other and all welled up. We will be there sooooooo soon.

Tonight I have hit the wall. I've had a time of it with Gary's Mum crying all week and this morning called my Mum and she answered bawling her eyes out too. She didn't know it was me calling. She kept saying she was happy for us.

Both in laws and parents are coming to lunch tomorrow and I really don't know how to cope. I thought all the upset would come at the end. How nice and tidy were my thoughts.

Gary is going to London tomorrow early to collect our tickets and get our magic stickers.

Me, I just want wednesday to arrive and all this pain to go. :no

Debs. I don't know what to say. Yayyy on the flights but sorry to hear what a hard time you're having on the emotional front. Just wanted to send you a big cyber hug. Keep your eye on the goal and try to remember why you were doing this in the first place. Hope the goodbyes aren't too horrendous. Let us know how the flights go (business class indeed - I am soooo jealous of you - do you think I could talk Mark into travelling cattle class with the kids while I put my feet up in business class??)

Hi Debs, Hope all went well today with parents & in laws. Plus hope Gary picked up tickets etc ok. Well not long now.... for your dream to come true. Sounds like your going to have a super time in USA before arriving in NZ. Try and relax on the plane beforehand ....to get over the last week (i'm amazed at how much youv'e crammed in!) :clap
