Can anyone advise on how to clean tools and other bits and bobs commonly associated with a man and his garage? Hubby has finally gotten around to sort out no.3 !:roll and doesn't want to steam incase they go rusty. Has anyone taken their tools and bits and if so how did you clean them, and does it matter if there is any oil still on them?
Many Thanks
Michelle

We've taking ours and Gary has cleaned, wiped and got rid of all the sawdust and gunk with the stuff called GUNK in a can, and then just lightly oiled them. Even the chainsaw looks new. Anything that wouldn't clean up or is too old to repair again, has gone and he is looking forward to buying some new tools too. He would rather do that than incur MAF disposal fees.
Our bikes and car have been scrubbed polished and de-gunked with that smelly stuff and look like new too.
We hope this is good enough but can tell you for sure in 6-8 weeks. :raebanana coz we'll be in NZ Yehhhhhh

Thanks for that! He is still outside now, bless him! (bet he wishes he didn't have so much stuff now :laugh ) Our shippers come on Monday too, but you sound pretty much all done now :nice1 I have had to farm the kids out everywhere with the exception of the youngest. Now everything has been grouped together on the inside I'm worried it's not all going to fit into our 20 footer! and him outdoors has done his yet! :roll Our stuff is headed to Wellington port and then upto us around Dannevirke! Jo B's fault, she sold it to me!
Funny how we compared our ITA times, now we can compare shippers etc...!
All the best on your move and I hope all goes smoothly for you. We fly 2 weeks on Tuesday OMG! and just thinking about the goodbyes is making me feel sick! I think you did really well with yours :nice1
