NZ Van Lines are the NZ agents for PSS and one or two other UK Shippers. They handled our container when it arrived at Auckland and stored our goods for 10 days after it arrived, before transporting from Auckland to Cambridge.

They were very efficient, in contacting our representative in NZ ( the container arrived before we did ) and where very helpful when we contacted them following our arrival. They were also able to deliver the goods to Cambridge within 2 days of our request for them to do so.

They cleared our goods via customs and MAF, emptied the container into storage, reloaded the goods into a removal truck to bring to Cambridge and nothing was damaged at all. The delivery guys ( 5 of them ) put everything where we asked them to and were prepared to unpack everything ( we didn't want everything unpacked as we were only in a short term rental ).

We could not fault them and their storage charges were very reasonable.

We also used NZ Vanlines (they sorted the NZ end for our shippers, GB Liners). We found them very good indeed - and they even came back to collect all the packaging / rubbish at a time to suit me (I couldn't unpack all the stuff at once) and even came back a second time last month (3 mths after they first came) when I asked if they would mind coming for some remaining rubbish! :nice1

Hi,

We used them here in Tauranga / Papamoa and although they looked like the cast of deliverance, they were sooo pleasent and helpful....much more than the crew we used in the UK, shouldn't judge a book etc! I would recommend them.

Susan,

To offer some balance - there are some horrendous stories of NZ Vanlines on several of the emigration forums! They are one of the companies that attract some very bad threads in general - but having said that, you have 3 good references here, so I suppose its a case of some good days.....some bad !

I will add another good one for them. We just got out container today (went with Crown A+++ on the packing nothing broken so far...) NZ Vanlines were fine with this end, no complaints at all.
