We have PR, and Returning Residents Visas (RRV's). Are these valid indefinitely?

For example, does there come a point, in a couple of years time or so, where we have to re-apply for RRV's? What if neither of us are employed by a NZ company at time of renewal?

I ask because Woz may be leaving his NZ employer to work with a UK company on contract, whilst remaining in NZ, although paying tax in NZ on a self-employed basis.

I am probably (hopefully!) worrying about nothing, but where taxes and visas are concerned I like to triple check!! :)

Cheers

As far as we can tell PR is just that, Permanent, unless you are a very very naughty girl..... and do bad things

sorry should have added, I think you need to get new RRV in passport at 2 years, though but this should be a peice of cake, as with pr it does not matter who employs you, as long as you have done your three months work with the right employer if this was one of the conditions

I may be telling you how to suck eggs here Moorf, but there is a good bit of info on the RRV's on the official websites. I looked into it when we were granted the PR, as they missed the paperwork about it when it should have been included.

Found the proper info Moorf, starts at page 365, what you get next is an IRRV, ie and indefinite RRV, there are some conditions, but you should meet them OK, they dont look hard.
