This is where you go mad trying to get all the paperwork together to prove what you told them in the first place, and go for your medicals. Good Luck:) .

Now you wait for a package from NZIS to arrive by courier - it'll be your ITA :nice1 - if you're not in they'll leave a red and white card, I remember my heart stopped when I saw that!! Not sure what the timescales will be for you as you'll be dealt with within NZ.. but make sure you've got all your paperwork in order, book medicals (I'd check timescales with NZIS before rushing out and getting them done, just in case, we had ours done straight after we got our EOI accepted and they ran out before our ITA arrived so we had to have them redone) - have you got your police checks etc? References? Birth / marriage certs?
Oh, I forgot, you get a letter first confirming that you have been selected from the pool..... :)

Hi Moorf
We got our police checks done before we left the UK and they run out in December.
The Xrays and medicals have not yet been done as they were not needed for a 2 year work permit (which is what we are on).
We move to our new house (well, built in the 70's) next week.
If the ITA appeared on our doorstep say next week (I wish), and they were submitted say 2 weeks later but the whole process ran over December, would the police checks still count?
I mean, we are in NZ and can prove we have been since July, the police checks were done in June so surely they would not be a need to be renewed?
This sounds confusing, but the way EOI works is if the points are at 100 and you apply with 100 pts, 2 weeks later they up to 150 pts, but, your points at 100 are still valid.
Does it work the same way with police checks?
I hope so as then its just the medicals which are no bother (he says).
Thnx in advance.

Hello Dave
The police report valids for 6 months and the medical report valid for 3 months, so long you submit your documents to NZIS before the expiring date of these 2 reports, you will be OK.
NZIS will be adjusting your EOI points after the selection. In fact, you do not need to worry about your EOI points anymore. We submitted our EOI with 145 points and after we sent all our documents to NZIS for verification, NZIS adjusted our EOI points to 205.
All the best with your ITA documentation and submission :nice1

Dave,
If they change the points up - it wont affect you. Once you are picked - thats it. The only thing that can affect it is if you cant actually claim the points that you have.
As you are moving - its a good idea to keep all relevant paperwork separate (and in an easy-to-find folder).
Congratulations - now go get a beer and chill a minute!

Well done. We are also in NZ and we got our PR on the 22nd Spetember.
Arrive 4th June work permit 14th June.

Picked from the pool 21st July

At this point we had no paperwork done. All paperwork done and checked including certification.

All this done in Hamilton NZ.
If I had known it was going to be that qucik I would not have spent $90 on a work permit for myself.
