Someone told me that migrants are only allowed to buy
new houses, don't know where the source of information
is from but is it true?
Thanks

Its Australia that has some funny rules about buying property (but I think its only for some types of Visa),
NZ are happy to take ANY money you want to spend here - they aint fussy! They need to keep the economy going somewhere near up!
Buy away.

There is some limit on buying large ammounts of coastal land. Can't remeber the details but you've got to be spending tens of millions to get caught by it.
