Hi all,

In case any of you were wondering how things are going with my application, well we've just started to play a game of tennis with NZIS and have just lobbed a rather nice overhead shot into their court - in other words, we've taken them up on their offer to respond to their letter with a nice long reply and the ball is now in their court. Whether or not they will act positively on it is another thing, but sure you can only try, right?

I did have a very frustrating and upsetting call with my case officer last week, but although I came away from the call feeling very despondent, when I gathered myself together and reassessed what she had actually said to me, it wasn't quite all bad news.

Thanks for all your words of support and advice. We are accepting the fact that Plan B may have to come into effect in the event that Plan A does not work out. Plan B requires me to be a kept woman for 3 or 4 months in NZ, after which we will reapply, but we shall wait and see how Plan A pans out first!

I've lost too much sleep worrying over this (but not any weight Debs!!) and it's not worth that - well it is, but if I say it often and loud enough, I might convince myself! Wish us luck again, and for those of you crossing things - sorry you can't uncross them just yet!!!! ;)

Bye for now!

Dee - keeping everything crossed and will be interested to hear the outcome of this one.

Don't know whether you remember or not but when we were getting over here we had plan A through to plan D. Thankfully we only got as far as plan B but what I'm trying to say is - keep all your options open, have a zillion back-up plans and by hook or by crook you'll get here.

Good luck.

Hey Dee

Fingers crossed for you xxxxx Christmas isn't that far away - Taupo here we come!

I just heard today that I've got a case officer at long last and my application is 'being assessed'. That's 3 months sooner than I had expected so hopefully it'll not be long now.

Talk to you soon.

You go for it Dee. I wish you luck with this. When Mark and I were sorting out my immigration stuff here in the UK I ended up on a fiance visa for a while, it meant I couldn't work so ended up a 'kept woman' for a few months. Ah well, it gave me time to plan the wedding and spend on the credit cards (7 years later and we've just about paid off those credit cards :nice1 - and we're still married).

It's good to have a plan B.
