I emailed the organisers of this Expo, to find out who would be there, in connection to: IT, International Removals and Financial advice.

This was their reply:

Exhibitors wishing to recruit in the IT industry are...

Enterprise Recruitment
Fisher & Paykel Appliances
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare
Positively Wellington Business
Synergy International
The National Bank
BNZ
Beca
EDS

Overseas Removal Companies at the expo are...

Crown Relocations
P-S-S

Financial Companies at the expo are...

ANZ/ National Bank
ASB Bank
Australian Financial Services
Bank of NZ
Currencies Direct
HIFX
Moneycorp
Westpac

I asked about the London Expo, but it will probably be the same for the Manchester one as well.

Hope you find it useful

Cheers

I forgot to add, for those that wish to enquire about other areas, healthcare, teaching etc etc, its probably worth contacting the organisers, (info@expo-newzealand.com). I got the email through their FAQ link. They replied within 24 hours, (although the email did arrive at 4.30am).

Maybe if others get some info, they can add to this thread, so we can get a full picture of who will be there.

Although, the organisers probably won't thank me if they now get hundreds of emails tonight!

Cheers

Only one word of advise for those attending - take plenty of copies of your CV with you and be aware that lots of the recruitemnt agencies will not want to interview you on the day but a few days afterwards - they have lots of people to see and only have a few days in the UK.

If you are likely to be definitely available to start work in NZ within a few months (as opposed to just examining the possibilities it would also be worthwhile having a statement prepared stating where you are in the emigration process and when you will be in NZ. This would include such factors as have you sold your house, do you have kids who want to finish the school term, where you are in the immigration process and what route you are taking with that process. Needless to say you probably don't want to volunteer this information unless it is benefical to a potential employment opportunity.

Sound advice Jon, thanks. Saturday for us (London).
Jay1, welcome aboard. Where abouts are you in Sussex? The south east possy is getting thin on the ground now, so we need new recruits.

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm right in the middle of Sussex, about 20 miles north of Brighton.

Would those of you who've attended an Expo be able to shed some light for me on what you wear? Is it interview-style gear to look "tidy" and appeal to potential employers (i.e. not jeans) or is it expected that 'cos it's a weekend, people will turn up in "casual"?
Sounds superficial, I'm sure, but would help me to know,
Thanks,
Gil

Anywhere near Cuckfield?

A valid question Gil. I would have thought smart casual would be the way to go, since the exhibitors are not likely to be doing formal interviewing on the day.
Iclude a personal photo with copies of your CV though.
