I can't believe that 3 weeks tomorrow we will be on our way, and I am being remarkably calm ( or that could be the 4 vodkas I've just had) The last nine months since we submitted our EIO have just flown and the reality just hasn't sunk in yet. I finish work in 2 weeks, OH Steve finished today, we could not believe our luck he got made redundant, that just never happens to us, maybe its our turn. So the extra money has made the trip a bit more luxurious. we decided that we hadn't planned on having it so we may as well have a little spending spree. Anyway Steve has a job near to Rotorua so we're heading down that way, and see if we like it, if not we can always move on somewhere else. We don't have kids so it is easier for us. Packers are coming next friday, so we've got a big skip outside the house, I can't believe the junk that we have collected in the 3 years we have been in this house.
We take our dog to Golden Arrow Friday before we fly and he will follow us 2 weeks later. then we fly singapore airlines on Saturday 29th October, 2 nights in singapore to chill out then to Auckland 1st November. Down to Rotora next day. After that, we can only guess.
Up till now it has gone smoothly, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I am so grateful for all the advice that I've picked up from you folks on this forum, its certainly made the whole thing easier.
I still have the goodbyes to do, going to my parents on sunday for a few days, they live 300 miles away so I don't see them every week but it will be hard, then the rest of the family and friends to see. I don't know how i'll feel till its over, and I'm on that flight. probably better if I stay in a haze of alcohol for the next 3 weeks.
