Hi GUYS :cheers

My other half plays the trumpet and wishes to continue lessons in NZ (Auckland) when we get there. Do any members that are over there or kiwis which are living here, know if its easy to get trumpet lessons in Auckland. If not trumpet then any instrument willl do.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but we can't find any info on it and my OH insists I ask.:)

Thanks for your help I will understand if I get no resposnses. :)

You can do guitar lessons at college evening classes, I know that, so am sure there would be plenty of other lessons too, I did have a great list of all the hobby clubs in Auckland, but I have lost it :(

But every district has its own local paper here, and they would be advertised in there.

Here is a local brass band, if you are no interested in the band I am sure they would know where you can get lessons.

An encouraging thread!

My young lad plays the drums so well be looking to ship his kit and continue his drum lessons out there - wonder how our new neighbours, whoever they might be, will take to that....I imagine NZ houses won't muffle the sound as much as our traditional Brit brick n mortar house does :uhoh

I'm also delighted to see that there are several fencing clubs around Auckland, so we'll be packing all of his fencing kit too! It'll be interesting to see what NZ customs make of that. Anyone know of any restrictions on importing this type of sports kit?
