Just a shout out to see if anyone was (or knows) someone doing speech therapy in NZ. Currently I am working with kids with autism, kids with motor disorder that limit their ability to speak, and developmental delays - I LOVE going to work and am hoping to find an equally wonderful job experience in NZ. On the other hand, special education law in America creates a lot of meetings, paperwork, litigation and other things that can take away from teaching and supporting the students (and their families). Don't get me wrong, some meetings are actually about how to help the students - but the power struggle ones really get old fast :no

Anyone have any insights into speech therapy in NZ? or special education in general?

Hi,
I don't know anything about speech therapy specifically, but if you go to the following website there are links to all the district health boards in NZ, which in turn have vacancy lists for hospital jobs including speech therapy. There are also contact details for the various departments, so there may be something useful there.

Good luck :nice1
