Just thought I would let you know that New World in Havelock North stock loads and loads of Bisto Gravy Granuals. I have never used them myself only ever used the original bisto powder, which I can not find.
So for those of you pineing(sp) for your Bisto gravy granuals, check out your local New World or come for a visit to Havelock North.

Why isn't the Bisto the same? I'm curious because I'm not one the gravy granules brigade! :p Have always made gravy with an oxo cube, bisto powder, and veggie/spuds water (how I was taught by my mum) Thought I would be ok cos i'd seen that you could buy oxo's and bisto??? Now thinking I may have to fill my container with bisto??!! :D

your mum and mine must have gone to the same gravy school. hard to quantify why its different, one difference is that its not a smooth powder and has little darker brown flecks in it, another is that it doesn't mix smoothly when water is added and it also doesn't thicken instantly. Best I can do on that. I will use it if I have too, just prefer the english version.
