Dear Fellow forumers,

I have not written in this forum for quite a while now.

After slightly more than 1 year of planning and going through some anxious moments with NZIS, my family will soon uproot from Singapore to New Zealand in 12 days time. Everything seemed to be in order - rented our place, sold the car, get Crown to do the moving to New Zealand, close all the accounts here in Singapore, attending farewells after farewells from friends and relative, etc. Even with one year of psychologically preparation for the big move, the thought of living a new life in New Zealand do get me nervous from time to time due to the "unknown" factor, what if.

Anyway, I am really looking forward to the big move to Palmerston North on 24th Oct and hope to meet some of you guys who have already taken the same route.

Anyway, wish me luck for my big move and hope to see fellow migrants who have move to Palmerston North, Wellington and central North islands soon.

I know how you feel, I am about to book our tickets for about hte 18th November. Handed in our notices, and still trying to sort out selling the house, if it's not sorted by the end of the month, ie woman who wants to buy it hasn't sold hers yet. We will instruct the rental agents. (she will wait she says).

Can't get over the feeling of what will it be like, got to go find out. how will I cope.

I was wondering what had become of you, but as I've only come back 'on-forum-line' recently I had wondered if had missed your posts.

How fast the past year has gone, looks like we're going to be a bit behind you unfortunately which means that our intended getogether in S'pore is not going to happen. I was so looking forward to you showing us the city sites and Sentosa. We'll have to meet up in Palmerston North when we FINALLY get to NZ.

Here's wishing you the very best these next 12days. Have a safe journey and fully throw yourselves into your new lives in New Zealand. Do let us know how you get on - it's starting to look like Palmy may be the central meeting location for this forum!! Thinking of you.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your kind wishes. Just to update you on our move. Crown will be coming over tomorrow and the next 2 days and everything will be out by Friday, also just sold my car yesterday and we are still busy packing up till today.

Hi Barbette, I thought that you came to Singapore without informing me. Anyway, look like we will not be able to meet in Singapore but maybe in New Zealand one day.
