I have been teaching in the UK for 6 years....will this be taken into account when they set my salary. (I have been led to believe that this will be done when I register with the teaching council)
Don't like to be greedy, but from reading the posts lately I am trying to prepare myself for being as poor as a church mouse :no

The impression I have got (from this forum and PM's I have recieved) is they will eventually take this into account, during the work period in NZ but it takes a long time to sort out and duing this period you recieve the minimum pay. 30 ish K I believe. :) be prepared for this.

My other half started on $38,900 or $39,800, not sure which way around until all previous experiance was taken into account. And it took no loner than 3/4 weeks ,with pay backdated.
It will probably be around $42,500 or above.
good luck.
