Despite the fact that my OH is presently in NZ , having a ball , learning how to be a totally chilled out Kiwi, I am still here with 3 kids and a house which although sold has still not exchanged contracts :wah We have now set our sights on Monday for exchange with 28th for completion which is when the shippers are booked so it better had be as we have already paid £250 as the first completion date died a horrible death.
Anyway , back to my question , has anyone booked a transit hotel while travelling with Singapore Airlines, Malaysian Airlines or Cathay Pacific ? If so , was it worth the extra money and how did they go about booking it?
My OH recent trip has reminded him of how knackereing the journey can be and I have photos of him with no eyes!! to confirm that .We thought that with the 3 kids a short rest in a hotel room might be a good idea.
As always I welcome your thoughts

We went to Aus when I was a young-un (8) and had a couple of days in Thailand and a couple in Singapore. I'd recommend having at least one stop over, if only to get a shower and change of clothes. From a kid's perspective, I can promise you I was bored, restless, grumpy, wanted new clothes etc on that plane, and the stop over helped break it up. For some reason the journey seems so much longer when you're a kid.

I have been trying to book a 12 hour stint in the hotel via e-mail, without much luck as yet, for 4 of us in one room (girls don't want their own room:wah ) it is going to cost us £86, but I think it will be worth it, even if it's just to have a good sleep before the second half of the journey, and so not be too bad regarding jet lag.
