What's the biggest fib you were told at the expo?

We were told that you only needed to earn between 25k and 30k to have a "very comfortable lifestyle".

"Pounds that is?"
"No, dollars."

I'm hoping he was meaning $25-$30k each...I didn't ask as this was the last stand we went to before staggering out, heads-spinning and slumping on the train home.

two fibs, both in the 1pm seminar :

1. the bloke said that conveyancing costs only "£2-300 THOUSAND" !! Hope it's a fib!
2. apparently, the timeframe for getting PR after submitting ITA is 9-12 months. Either that's a fib, or the letter they send out is, cos that says 3-6 months.

The cost of shipping fib............................................... ..................

quoted £3-4000 for a 40 footer.

They were they best 'freebie' bags though, coasters, keyrings, bloomin fridge magnets of lorries ( fine if you have a 3 year old boy) and lots of useful info. I did use this when doing my shipping quotes too.
