Not that I'm desperate to know where it is of course :wah

Apparently we have 171 cartons, 2 motorbikes and a car. Must have our stuff muddled up with someone else's. I though we had 9 Sainsbury's carrier bags and a small box. :no

Anyway off track. I'm sure I saw a thread on here about how to track the ship or container and can't find it now. Google is confusing me too:mad:

Anyone help please??

Thanks in anticipation

Deborah

You could try this, you need the name of the ship its on..

I got a fright the first time I looked as they had given us the wrong ship name....

Just my luck it says my ships info is 48 DAYS out of date and that it is off the coast of Columbo. :laugh :laugh

Gives me the ships call sign though so I can do some more surfing (all puns intended) when I get back.

I found a picture of it with all those containers piled on  OMG!!!

When my ship comes in, I'll be out.

Thanks for your help guys. I'm off to Moore Wilsons goat milk hunting and to the ASB. Need to clear my head today.

Thank again both D x

Hopefully you have a note of the number of your shipping container - do a google search on that number.

Hi Jon Moorf and Sal

Have tried all of the above ( and more) with no luck.

Have emailed the shipping Co and they have suggested the container no may be wrong :wah

So now doing the round robin of the shipping co, removal co, and mailing anyone else I can think of.

Hmmmmm it looked so easy when I saw others doing it from the YUK.

Anyway will continue the search for our lifetimes belongings. Gary says he hopes they fall off the ship and we get the insurance:D

How annoying! Is there a local office of the company you are dealing with? I found that Crown auckland were way more helpful than Crown Scotland. Scotland had not even sent our file over to them after two weeks!

Hi Sal

I'm not sure where the problem lies. The shipping co (Hapag Lloyd) have been really helpful and so have Curtiss in Portsmouth. Hapag have suggested the container no is wrong so I'm waiting for a reply from Curtiss. Probably be the morning now.

I can find the ship's timetable but that just says estimated days to Hong kong.Unless they are dropping our stuff off there?

NZ Vanlines seem laid back :wah but there's another story..........

I'm sad I know, just really want to watch my ship come in. It sounds right exciting, and we've done so much I just want to follow things through.

Just an update to the shipping saga.

The shipping company gave me the wrong container no. :wah

However the 'right' container number now shows the ship in Hong Kong and returning to Rotterdam for 16/11 exactly when it is due here in Welly. The container is apparently in Copenhagen today.

Well I knew little about shipping before, and now I know a lot less.

Have googled, p&o'd, and searched high and low, but not giving up yet.

It might be in Hong Kong, waiting to go on another ship to come for the rest of its journey.

I think ours had a stop over in Malaysia on its way down..

Hi, if you have the name of the ship, its IMO number and maybe the company that is chartering/manages it, I could us the data bases at work and see if I can find it - they have a tracking program which they use and it plots where a ship is (very funny watching little arrows moving around a map)
