Thought I'd share with you all. We just received yesterday the magical letter from our case officer saying we have been 'approved in principal':raebanana

Just need to pay the migrant levy and get the passports sorted:clap

I guess it arrived just at the right time really. We have had a bad few weeks. My parents and Grandmother are here for five weeks, which hasn't been so bad, but at the same time (poorly planned on our part) we have had the builders in doing our renovations.

Long story short is although it has been poorly planned timewise by us, we signed up for a contract which should have been finished in 5/6 weeks however 5 weeks on the builders have been working part time hours and making loads of errors so after complaints from us and refusal to pay at the end of last week (they had only put in 3 days work) they have packed there stuff up and gone. !!! So the residency thing came just in the nick of time to put some smiles back on our stressed faces!!!:nice1

For those interested, we submitted our ITA to Auckland on 16 Sept, two months after we had received it. Letter came yesterday 17 October.

:cheers

Congratulations. :clap :clap

You may have had a bad few weeks but the old saying 'every cloud has a silver lining is true' (sometimes you just have to search a bit harder to find it though!) Good luck finding some better builders this time around!

Hi,
Congratulations to you both..sorry to hear about your builders!!! hope you gave them what for.
As you can see Jim & I have eventually managed to hook up with this sight. BUT have no idea on how it works or how to use it!!!!(All advise welcome!) I know Im just not high tech on these things, so Im hoping you`ll be able to give some assistance because I have lots of questions to find out!!! Well hope our Visa comes as quickly as yours did we are just waiting for our police checks then all documents can be forwarded on, then just have to hope the house sells- we do have an offer but they need to sell their house first...But we are still hopefull to be out there in the New Year.
Looking forward to hearing from you give my love to your Dad & family, and hope all are having a great time.
Speak soon

Jim & Deb
