Hello peeps,
A little question concerning the price and availability of replacement blades/heads for say, the ' Gillette Mach 3 ' razor in NZ. I know in the UK they are relatively expensive for what they are,, about £4 a pack of 4. How do they compare for price in NZ.
Should I be planning to leave some space in the container for a stash of razors instead of gravey granules. :laugh

TIA

Hi There,

OH ran out of blades last week, same razor, i bought a pack of 8 blades, from the warehouse, cost 20dollars, mind you have seen them in the supermarkets for 24dollars, certainly pays to shop around. I think the 4pack cost about 14dollars.

Gary now has me on a quest to get Blue II swivel heads disposables here. Says he has only got one left coz I nicked all the others. What would I want them for?;)
I'll go down the warehouse later and see if they are stocked. I think they are the cheap and nasty razors, so I'm bound to get them there.

So if you have room in your container of razorblades for a few packets of swivells, he would be a happy lad.

His super duper turbo charged all singing and dancing 'proper' razor is in the container. DOH!!!!

The unexplained thats what i would call this. Elaine came in tonight and said she had stocked up with the Mach3 blades as she was unsure whether it was possible to get the same type over there. Thanks folks, you have not only answered John's question but the wife's also:nice1 She now tells me she ain't prepared to buy at $14 pack of four and informs me i'll have to get the kiwi own brand.:laugh

Deborah,
You can tell Gary, it's a done deal.
When we're ready to come over there'll be space made available for Blue II.
:nice1

John

Thanks John will do. You'll make an old man very happy (and stop him whinging ):laugh :laugh

God this thread reminds me that when my uncle moved to the states, in the 1960's, he couldn't get Gillette blades. He mentioned this in a letter to my Nan and she sent him blades weekly for 35 years.  when they came in those little packets not boxes. The postmen would have a fit now and Nan would probably be up on drug running accoutrement charges. Bless her.

Deb, I saw blue II in Pac N Save yesterday, think they were about $6-7, and there were two different types.

Thanks Sal, I'll mosey down there and check it out.

The first thing I think of when I go in our Pak & Sniff is 'Where's the exit'? The birds flying round inside put me off everything. If I can't find them down here, it's John's offer of shipping the old boy out some.:nice1

Plus I'm still looking for a packet of Diny's 'Farties'.

I feel deprived, everyone keeps mentioning birds flyring about, but both of the ones I have been in have had none :) .

It seems to be a lower Nth Island thing??? My parents used to shop at P 'n S (Lincoln Nth Mall, West Auckland) all the time when I lived at home (although they won't go near the place now!) and I can't ever remember seeing birds in there!

Sal & Debs

I've only met the one in Kilbirnie so far, it has the birds flying round inside and gives me the willies. People in there don't seem to care what the are doing whilst they are shopping either ;) Now I've got to steel meself to go in and look for his razors. :wah

Give me Grannie style New World, all clean, polite and pleasant, any day. And Moore Wilsons, only been once but that was good, I'll go back.
