Hi All,
We need to know:
1) How long the average process from acceptance of a Declaration of Interest to full approval for immigration process takes
2) How long you can have between getting the immigration approvals and actually leaving the UK to arrive in NZ.
Can anyone help?

I entered my expression of interest last November under the skilled migrant category and arrived in NZ on 16 July having been issued my PR visa in March. I believe that after entering my EOI, i had an answer back within 10 days, which then enabled me to apply for PR. I think it will largely depend upon the category under which you seek entry as to how quickly you will be 'processed'. I had a firm job offer and all of my qualifications satisfied the NZIS at the first look. I believe that once your (PR) visa is issued you have 12 months to enter NZ, so I could have entered in March.

our case officer said yesterday that when you submit you ITA, without a job offer it sits in a holding pile for around 4-6 mths!! but if you get a job offer in the mean time you just fax the details over and they go find your ITA and process it - that takes around 3-4 wks.
we are not too bothered as since Rachel our eldest will be getting married in May it would work out around that time.

Hi there,
From submitting our ITA, (135 points, no job offer), to interview it was 8 weeks. From interview to getting PR - 4 days.
I haven't put the timings from EOI to submitting ITA, as there are quite a few variables. It took about a week to arrange, and get, our medicals. And I think the police reports took about 3 weeks. In addition you have to collect job info, (some peole need their qualifications assesed, we needed to get NI details, (about 10 days) as previous work places no longer existed. Also I had to send off for a full birth Certificate (1 week), as I only had the short version. So collecting all the information you need for the ITA can take some time.
Hope this info helps with your timings.
Cheers

Hi Mjehanzeb, welcome to the forum and the rollercoaster to NZ!
Follow the link below for a good idea of timings

It seems to be quite normal not to hear direct from NZIS, only by the status on the website. The first time we actually heard from them was to arrange our interview!
God luck and do let us know how it all goes.

We were just assigned a case officer, which is about 1 1/2 months sooner than they said it would be.
