Me again, with more questions....
I have had an email from an NZ school asking that we bring proof of our children's vaccinations when we arrive. My kids only had the 2,3,4 months baby jabs. They didn't have boosters, MMR, BCG or Meningitis C? They are now 10 and 7
Will this be a problem in terms of applying for school? We didn't get them jabbed for personal reasons.
I don't think i even still own the baby books which had a record of their baby jabs.
has anyone else had a problem with this?

Schools, kindys, nurseries etc are required by the ministry of education to keep a record of each childs immunisation certificate. I don't think it particularly matters what they have had and have not had it is just for records ... it was explained to me that if there is an outbreak of something they have a quick reference of children more at risk etc.

It may be worth getting written evidence from your UK GP stating which immunisations each child has had.

For the record, Meningacocal B and Hepititis B are also part of the programme here, I have even heard talk of immunising children against chicken pox and flu, but not sure how serious this talk is.

Hope this helps.
