Well we now have one step closer to NZ in that the we have a buyer for the house and fingers crossed everything goes through. Just got to get the visa sorted out now, having real difficulty with the NZIS though. John got a job offer, but the officer said the contract doesnt state enough about the skills he has to qualify, so we need another letter from his employer, good job they are nice people. hopefully this will be enough and we can proceed to get offer to apply for pr, still only at the EOI stage and they wont accept johns qualifications, we are hoping the job offer and experience will be enough. If all else fails it looks like we will have to go with the work visa and reapply for residence when in NZ. We hope to be there by february as that is when John is to start his job. Not sure now which will be the best way, to continue to argue case for pr with job offer and experience, or whether this will take too long (not get before February) or to go for the work visa and then apply for residency when we get to NZ, anyone got any ideas??

This is a nightmare of a process and really didnt expect it to be so time consuming and so many stops in the process, feel like all they want at the moment is blood! good to read so many other people have reached the end of the long process and are eventually going, to us it seems so far away and with the house sale panicking we will be homeless without a visa!!

Expo was good on Saturday, but we didnt learn anything else to help us at the moment. Cant make this next NW meet, but hope there will be another soon and hope to come to that one.

Everything must be feeling like a continual uphill struggle at the moment. All I can say is hang in there - tenacity (sp) and grit will get you there (or should I say get you here) in the end. It's been said so many times before on this forum - it all comes to those who wait. Your turn WILL come and all will run smoothly in the end.

Just look upon it as character building !!!!!! yeah right.

Good luck - keep us posted.
