Wow these guys are fast! We have had to keep an eye on them as they have been just scooting through the rooms and packing whatever they see, we have already lost Nicola's new trainers to the container, but we did warn her:roll Britannia have sent a good crew to us, and there has been plenty of banter throughout the day. They had Elaine convinced that the stuff wouldn't fit on a 20ft reefer. Elaine was taken in hook line and sinker:laugh she has tried her hardest to get one over on them but they just wouldn't budge.
Everything seems to be going to plan, but there just maybe a one day delay in completition, so long as those funds are in our account before we fly then its not that much of a problem.
Well, it just leaves us to try and find somewhere to sit within this house of boxes and prepare ourselves for part two tomorrow. They are back to finish up and load all our worldly goods onto that container, and we will be waving it off at 1400 bound for NZ:clap
Going for a brew and try and get my head round all of this.

Ah yes I remember it well. Strange feeling isn't it? We used Britannia too and I can't praise them enough, right from the first box packed in the UK to the last one being unloaded here they were first class. I would rate them 110% !!!!
Had to smile about Nicolas' trainers, I can just see the look on her face now when the realisation hit her.
It's an even stranger feeling when you see the container being driven away from your house. All your worldly goods disappearing down the road.... that's when you hope all the recommendations you've had regarding the shippers are spot on.
This time next week I'll be at Palmy airport on my way to meet you !!!!

Hi Kim,
Haven’t been on the forum much recently),,,, so much to do (didn’t know what stage you were at).
Much like you we have the packers here today too. Tomorrow will see the contents of our house heading off down the road! They are really scary, if it doesn’t move quick, it goes in a box I cant believe how much they have done in a day!
Its unbelievable, I’m sat in my lounge, looking at a giant jiffy bag that contains a 3 seater sofa and I know that its about to be posted to the other side of the planet!
About 17 days and we’ll be getting posted to the other side of the planet too. YAYAYAYAY
I guess your going to get a summer summer year as well, fantastic!
We’ve tried to get to the NW meet before, wifey is working on the day but doing her best to get the day off, if she does we will be there. I guess this is the last chance to turn up.
Get Elaine to ask the packers where that box has gone, you know the one with the passports in. This really wasn’t funny when we couldn’t find our passports today! Fortunately they hadn’t packed em.
Well god luck Kim, I’m really glad its all moving along for you and now comes the excuses for takeaway :nice1

Must be really strange sitting in a house with all your belongings packed up around you, knowing you won't see them for a couple of months. :exit
So when are they packing the computer Kim?http://tcwozere.co.uk/smileys/thump.gif
You're going to miss it, or have you pinched the lap top from your neighbour again???
Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday. Hope the packing goes well again tomorrow.
lots of love to you all
Marcia, Kev and the boys.

Hi everyone,
LOL at packing the trainers! The movers seem to be really nice guys, but has anyone else noticed their tea habit?? Two pints of milk and about 20 teabags they have gone through today! Not that I begrudge them but Bob and I had to stop drinking tea around one oclock 'cos we just couldn't keep up!!! They seem to thrive on it though, round the house like greased lightening! They also had to make a bed for Gizzy, the 24 year old one eyed cat from next door, as he sat on the step in their way all morning!! Anyway, have to go...off to the shop to buy more teabags for tomorrow!!
Thinking about chucking a sicky for saturday..
Take care all, good luck with the move Kim and family!!

Must be a re-requisite to become a 'shipper/packer' .... ours drank gallons of tea, bottle after bottle of milk - and don't even mention the McVities Chocolate Homewheat. Have to say though - they managed to keep up the amazing packing pace at the same time as taking refreshment - and like you - I didn't begrudge them one bit - look after them - they'll look after you !!!!
I'm wishing I could be there on Saturday - sounds like it's going to be a right old celebration. Don't forget to sign the flag !!!!!
Bob & Co ..... chuck that sickie - it'll be a grand day out, and this is your last chance. I can highly recommend the NW meetings. After this Saturday the next one is being held in the Manawatu on Sunday 13th - anybody who fancies coming PM me for details - there's already a good crowd scheduled to attend !!!!!!!
Good luck folks.

Hah the old brewin' up.
I must admit Bob's wife, I laughed at your comment of not keeping up. My breakfast consists of around 3 cups of tea. I call it my Irish breakfast (family thing).
Looks like I am going to have to stock up on tea and biccies then, well one consolation. they'll make sure the kettle's the last to be packed!!

Oh reading this brings back 4 week old memories. :D
Yes they are like greased lightening, drink and eat as they pack and ours ate a bakers dozen of rolls EACH!!
The scariest thing is when they hop in the front of the van with your life times collection of old (and new ) trainers, precious bits of kids drawing, the kettle and the tooth paste and you know you're not going to see it again for about 8 weeks.
Good luck over the next few days. :clap :clap

Thanks for all your replies. Jeeze these guys could sup the coffee. They were a totally good crew that we treated them to a chippy dinner. Come on Mrs Bob throw that sickie, you just don't know what your missing out on. Go for it.
