Lawyer.

We've found an accountant (on recommendation:nice1 ), registered and set up our company here in NZ all in three weeks.

I know I can look in the phone book, google (and I have) and stuff, but does anyone know of lawyers, pref in Wellington, that specialise in intellectual property and the IT industry, please?

Where did you get the reccomendation(spelling?) from? Is he an accountant specifically for your type of business. Are you on a LTBV?

Hi Driver

We're here with PR. The chartered accountants company and the partner working there were both recommended by a business contact of OH's.

We'd been here a couple of days, phoned for an appt and were invited straight in. 10 mins later we were sitting at his desk.

Completely different from the UK. He actually emails and calls us :D with info and help, applied to register the company and that happened within a week, look after the IR side of things (with our authority). All they've said they will do, they have done very quickly too.

We think their charges are reasonable and it's nice to speak to the head honcho, not through the receptionist or secretary all the time.

All we need now is an IT lawyer and life will be complete :laugh

Not sure if this is what you need but we used Mike Burrowes on Willis St. We only used him to buy our house - but actually they do very liitle of that. He was recommended by a friend in the insurance industry, and Mike is thier corporate Lawyer, so most of the stuff he does is around insurance claims.

I honestly have no idea if they can cover what you want - but I have been really impressed with them - and if they do I would be confident in recommending them.

I actully dealt with Heather there mostly.

I cant find thier number (we are having abig sort out here) - sorry about that - but Its just Burrowes and Co, 82 willis St (just up from New World Metro).

Hi,

Any use if you have another recommendation? We used Ken Sampson in Tawa for our house purchase - he was excellent - would thoroughly recommend - he's in the book.
