Hi guys, Helen and myself submitted our ITA's last week and today i have had a letter, all it says is they hope to appoint me a case offer in the next four months and then make a decision in the following three months!!
Couldn't get me hat on!! i wanted to go in january and helen wanted to be in a school by feb.
On the back page a receipt, for the money they have taken off my credit card.
Hmmm strange that, why is it organisations are never slow to take money just slow to deliver the goods!!!!
Has anyone else been waiting ages?

Hi Paul & Helen

We submitted our ITA last week for PR visas with my OH having a job offer starting Feb 06. (we too noticed that our credit card was charged super fast!)

we haven't heard a thing yet...so your further ahead than us! we are led to believe that on average at the moment an application with job offer is taking anything upto 7 weeks & without job offer anything upto 3 months...although it seems to vary sooo much! have you guys got job offers or are you planning to jobsearch when you get to NZ?

Try not to worry - that's just the standard letter and it really doesn't take that long. I'm pretty sure you'll be ok for January/February!

We got the same reply and credit card slip :laugh and then OH got a job and at was all go, go go.

I hope you hear soon though. There's loads you can do to 'get ahead'. That way you can just get visa and go :clap :cheers

Good luck

We got the same standard letter. the actual timings were:

'ITA' to 'Interview' = 8 weeks
'Interview' to 'email confirmation of PR' = 3 days
'Confirmation of PR' to 'passports ready for collection' = 1 week

So all in all 9 weeks 3 days. We had 135 points and no job offer. As long as Christmas doesn't get in the way too much, you shouldn't have a problem getting PR for Jan (obviously with a job offer, it is much quicker).

One word of warning though, I've just tried to book flights in Jan (London to Christchurch), and they are filling up fast.

Good luck with it all

Thank you for the replys, i feel a bit better now.
Neither of us have jobs but we have both started appliying for them.
We know things move a lot quicker with a job offer but really i think i would like to go without one at least get a chance to do a bit of exploring first!

Good luck everyone
