Dear Forummers,

Just wish to tell everyone that we are safe and sound here in sunny Palmerston North after arriving from Singapore for the past 1 week.

My son has gone to school for the last 4 days, we have bought a car and we are very close to getting a rented property as we have been staying in the motel for the past 7 days.

Thanks for all the help that you have given us from the application process to getting here on NZ soil.

Dear Friends,

Thanks for the kind wishes and pm that I have received. It had really lift our spirits up considering that we are still unable to confirm our rental properties. We have made a request to rent yesterday but until today, we have not heard anything from property agents yet. Anyway, we will be viewing other properties today just in case if this one fall through. It would definately be better to stay in a home than a motel.

Well done vincent, i'm sure things with the property will turn out ok. We are up in Cambridge since arriving on Friday. Staying with friends for a while and then heading down to Ashhurst to stay with Diny for a while, so we haven't had the problem of house hunting just yet, but it will be here soon.

I am driving down to Wellington this weekend and maybe may meet up with some friends there if I have the time.

I am new to this forum, though I have been visiting it for the last few months. This is actually my first post.
It is amazing that you decided to move back to NZ after 10+ years. I am also planning to move to NZ. I graduated from NZ about 20 years ago. My application is in the final stage now. I noted that you managed to get PR directly instead of WTR. Grateful if you can share with us the process/procedure to do that.
