Your journey has started :nice1
You need to go shopping for a shed load of patience, a skip full of paper and stamps, and a tanker of red or white (depending on your pref) for when it all gets tooooooo much.
No really, good luck and keep us posted. :D

I know what you mean. We had our ITA this week and I feel so excited and nervous at the same time.
I can't wait to move to NZ though, I just hope I can keep it together over what I'm sure will be very long months ahead. :D :D :D

Scariest thing is waiting for the selection - although we had 130 points without a job offer (and that could be coming this week) so hopefully we should be OK

Aww Questor, I'll keep it all crossed for you.
Funnily enough I hubby and I watched an episode of 'Property Ladder' here the other night that I had watched in the UK, he remarked that he hadn't seen that one, the reason he hadn't seen it was that I had watched it whilst he filled out our EOI online, and now here we are! :clap
It'll fly by honest :)

Good luck to all of you on your ventures. Don't know about the tanker of red or white though Smiler....... drink only adds to the problem and gives you a sore head, even if it makes you forget it momentarily! LOL!!!

Silly question time now - If we get an ITA - do we have to do it within a certian time?

Hi Questor
Yes you have 4 months in which to return the ITA. If it helps, we did a lot of the prep while we were waiting for our ITA to hit the door mat.
Stuff like Birth certs etc, employement details, all the paperwork that didn't have a time limit, checked out doctors for the medical.
That way you get to run like a headless chicken for a shorter time!!
Good luck

Just logged in, and our EOI has been selected from the pool!
I knew there was a selection today, but I didn't think it would update the status so quickly! :D:D

Hey, well done! If you looking for doctor, try Dr. Millions (yes! not a joke) in Manchester. Recommended him to Steve / Cardiff Irons and he saved a good bit of money. He is not too bad, reasonably priced (well more reasonable than some, still sets you back a good few quid) and you don't have to mess about going to other places for the X-rays. And he isn't too far from Halifax. His number can be found on the NZIS website. Good luck.

Fantastic, thanks Stevie, there's one not too far from here, but if this guy is good and cheap then we might just spend the extra fuel to get over there

Congratulations! :nice1
If you have a job offer it will get priority- ours was selected on the 26th and we had the iTA on the doormat just 5 days after. you should order your police certs now and book your meds, most places we rang book about 5-6 weeks away, and ring round cos prices vary from 200-270 quid, i saved £164 on my family by going to one in stoke instead of Nottingham Bupa(where i live). longform birth certs were posted next day from our reg office- no problem there.
The list of panel doctors (you cant just go to your GP) is on the NZIS site under FORMS. You can go to BUPA in halifax, or next nearest is sheffield or york. GOOD LUCK :)

I was starting to get worried I hadn't heard anything from NZIS, not even a letter, then I had a search of the forum, and people don't seem to have got their letters till after their ITA which can be anytime! :D:D
