Hi guys,
we're new members here and getting a lot of info in this forum, thx to you all.
We're living in TX, USA and just got the ITA and working on the papers now :wah
We do have some buying questions for baby. (we have 18 months girl and another one on the way).
Saw some of this stuff in another thread, but wanted ask anyway:
* is Similac (baby formula) being sold in NZ? saw other local stuff in the web.
* How are the other baby thing prices in compare to the US, should we fill up the container with diapers, J&J wipers Etc.

Thanks in advance,
The Beks.

Heres a couple of useful sites for price comparisons for nappies & equipment etc, the babyonline one does formula as well, major brand seems to be Karicare.

http://www.winkalotts.co.nz/index.php

http://www.babyonline.co.nz/

http://www.diapersdirect.co.nz/

From my brief research, the nappies direct sites, are about the same price as the local supermarket special offers, but dont know how they would compare to US prices.

If you have any baby equipment bring it with you, as its a bit pricey over here.

You going to have the baby before you come over?

Diapers are expensive here. If you have the space bring them from the states they cost less. Amazon has very good prices. Also, they don't sell pampers here if you like them. Clothes are not too bad but toys are expensive unless you get them on sale. With toy libraries and lots of other things to do that is not so much of a problem though. . If there are any things you really like, buy them because you never now if you can get them or if they will cost more here.

I have been meaning to write up a 'what to stock up on if you are coming from the US' post but I have not got around to it yet. Hopefully soon.

Good luck,

Chris
