Well, we finally made it and have been given PR for New Zealand!
I’m not much of a poster, but the site has proved very useful over the last few months. There is so much information that is not available elsewhere, so many thanks to all you experts!
Our application was originally submitted in January though has just recently been finalised. We had a slight wobble in September when our case officer requested further information regarding our de-facto relationship and my work history, however, we managed to convince them that everything was above board.
As we used an agent the whole process was slightly slower as the NZIS deal with them and the agent then deals with you. However, they were reassuring when things didn’t go quite so smoothly so I guess for us personally it was worth dealing with a consultant.
We should be arriving in NZ in January after a break in Hong Kong, and then the real work will begin!
So, many thanks to all of you that submit such useful information, it really does help. And to those still going through the process, good luck and don’t give up!
Regards,
Ebeee.
