Well at long last we have got our ITA, and it feels really good. We have had a difficult ride so far, we put in our EOI (105 points) on 6th September, we were selected from the pool on 14th September, and we were declined on 29th September. That was the start of the rollercoaster, we then applied for jobs and john was offered a job, we appealed and were back on track, then declined just 2 weeks later after they said johns contract wasn't enough to say he had skilled employment (his job is on the skills shortage list), so we got a letter from his employer, appealed again and here we are, invitation to apply. I am hoping that because we have been through so much to get here, getting all this information for them, that the ITA will now go smoothly. If all goes to plan we will be in Palmerston North by February, fingers crossed, luck out Palmy here we come :yes

John is a wood machinist and has got a job with Hansens a kitchen manufacturer in Palmerston. I am a medical secretary, and have had loads of interest, but because my job isn't on shortage list, i cant get a job till we get to NZ. It has been a bit of a rough ride, but as someone said to me on here when things were tuff for us, if you beleive and persevere you will get there. We still arent quite there yet, but hopefully this next stage wont be as bad. Medicals are booked, police reports gone off and waiting for paperwork for ITA now.
