unless she legally 'divorces' us we are bringing an advanced 14 year old girl/ student with us. schools in london proved fairly useless and we read varied stories re. education in nz. she is doing early gcse's etc and finally, for the first time, pleased to be bright. can anyone recommend good schools in practice rather than in marketing... after uk experience which involved moving schools etc. she doesn't need any more non-starters.

the b side of this story is that her 16 month old brother is equally unstoppable (walking at 9 months, knows how to grout tiles, paint, dismantle anything and everything) so there is a good likelihood primary recommendations likewise appreciated.

there is nothing worse than a deeply bored/ furious pupil. except maybe a deeply furious parent...

The NZAGC (New Zealand Association for Gifted Children) might be able to help you!

Also Pinehill school in Albany has a good reputation and runs the Cambridge International O Level syllabus on many subjects! I think the fees are about 10-12k per year, but don't quote me on that its just a guess from what I have heard on the grapevine!
