Hi all,
Sorry to bring up xmas so soon but if the immigration gods smile on us it will be are last xmas in the UK.
This means that I have volunteered to sacrifice a little more of my sanity and have all the family with us AGAIN. With the exception of my brother missing 1 yr and my SIL missing 1 yr I've entertained and feed the troops for the last 4 yrs. Every yr I say never again but this yr Im hoping that immigration makes it true. I don't mind realy, it's only 48hrs out of my life and the kids love it. SIL partner is a 'donkeys bottom' but I hope that next yr I'll be missing them all madly whilst having my Xmas BBQ in NZ.
BUT GETTING TO THE POINT!!!
Xmas pressies,
I've already ordered bumper loads of toiletries and M&S bits for me but wanted to check out whats future proof for OH and kiddies.
What is the score with bringing in open bottles of alcohol. Should I scrub the Canadian Club off the list, (or help him drink it faster).
I think UK DVD's are fine and electrical but if Im wrong please tell me.
My kids are into Fifi flower tots and Bob the Builder but that's because that's what they are allowed to watch on CBBC. (I'm another mean mum). If they are not on NZ TV then I can't see the interest lasting. Can anyone in NZ with under 5's tell me whats hot over there. We got them the usuall out door toys this summer for birthdays.
Thanks loads.
Debbie

Hi Debbie, I have been thinking along the same lines but with teenage boys pressies.
are PSP's popular in NZ? can and will NZ games work in UK consoles???

We are also having a large family gathering - but at my MIL's as we now live with her! I will help with the preparations though!! ;)

miss my Dishwasher more than anything though :( my nails are suffering!!

I've got a dishwasher again here along with a unused bottle of washing up liquid purchased by mistake and a full set of natural nails again. :D

I think opened alcohol is fine you just have to tick the relevant spot on the form. Its commercial importers they are looking for. Can let you know for definite soon if NZ VL ever get their 'donkey's bottom' in gear.

Have seen loads of BOB stuff and fairy/flowery things but not sure if it's the right fairy flower?
