Hello

After religiously checking the NZIS website 7 times a day, my status has changed from selected to decision successful!!!!!

I was selected on Sept 15th with no job offer and 100 points, I've no idea how they do this and the invitation to apply may take months to appear, but for now I'm excited.

Will start worrying about medicals etc tomorrow but for today I'm going to enjoy my new status!!

No such luck here in the UK. I was in the same draw as you on 15 Sept. 110 pts, no job offer.
Do the respective countries branch of NZIS deal with the Pool selectees?
From the breakdown, theres loads of english people submitting, maybe thats why.

Wow Feathers - you're the first one so far from the 15September selected pool (that I've read about anyway) Congratulations :clap :clap

Funkstar deluxe - we're also in the UK, selected in on 15Sept, 110points without a job offer. And yes like you, still selected 'only'. :? Wish we could figger out the system as to who / which country (if any) gets priority, apart from (obviously) those with job offers.

Keep checking the NZIS, and let us know when you know their answer. :hopeso :hopeso

I think you have hit the nail on the head! I read somewhere on this forum that 250 people emigrated from the USA to NZ last year. (Maybe I've got that figure wrong it seems a bit low)

But I guess if they send the EOI's to offices in the applicants respective countries then the USA office probably has far fewer applications to wade through then the UK offices.

I don't think there is a priority i.e if you come from the USA you get processed first I think they just have fewer applications sent to their office Although they do also have fewer NZIS staff, apparently Washington only has 3, so I'm sure I'll hit some kind of traffic jam soon.

Anyway good luck I'm sure you will all be hearing soon :hopeso and keep clicking on the selected it will change soon!!

We were selected on the 1st September with 105 points and our status changed on the NZ immigration site to Eoi accepted ITA will be sent out (although it still only said selected at the front), around the 22nd September. However, we're still waiting for our pack to arrive.

Not sure what to do - do we book medicals etc or wait till the pack does come - then maybe have to wait weeks to get appointments?

Just wanting something to happen quickly - I hate waiting!

Hi andersonclan

I am exactly like you, I hate waiting and thats why I've been visiting the NZIS site several times a day in hope of seeing some activity! And now I will probably have to wait ages for my ITA, I think I should try and learn some patience!!

But I am going to go ahead and book my medicals as they are valid for 3 months and maybe I am being overly optimistic but I don't think the ITA will take that long to come. I have already started gathering evidence from previous employers and sent off my FBI police check. Hopefully that way when the ITA does arrive I will be good to go and can just send all the stuff straight back!

There have been some threads on here about medicals and getting them resigned by your doctor if they go over their 3 month validity so if by some chance the ITA takes eons to arrive you do have a fallback position

Good luck
Feathers

I'm in same boat - waiting for ITA, but I won't book the medicals - there ar 5 (adults) in my application, and I have a hunch if it doesn't arrive in the next 6 weeks, it could be considerably longer due to Christmas holidays :?

cheers

Hmm.. USA, 100 pts, Selected Sept. 15th, but I'm still only "selected from pool".

Hopefully soon.... Congrats to you, feathers.

Hi Guys,

Double check your status by clicking on selected. Ours still says selected, but when you click on it you get a new pop up box saying successful, your ITA is on it's way blah blah blah.

I'm getting a bit worried about this now, we were selected from the pool on August 16th, with 130 points, and on the POL. We're still sitting at Selected, and people with less points selected 2 weeks after us have now got a decision successful.

All we've got is the first letter from singapore, and nothing since.

I'm thinking baout a call to the NZIS in London to check whats happening, is this a good idea ?

Anyone else in the same boat as us ?

Where are you from foolsgold? If you got the letter from Singapore why do you need to call London?

I'm in the uk, I think that everyone gets the first letter from Singapore when the eoi is selected from teh pool, but the checks on the eoi after selected would be done at your local nzis office, in my case london.

Can anyone tell me if I'm right with this ?

foolsgold, I think you are correct. I'm in the US and my "selected from pool" letter came from Singapore. I imagine that's where they all come from.

Congrats :clap :clap
We were selected on 15th with 105 pts no job offer and have taken the view ITA will come when it comes.

We were also selected in the same draw, 115 with no job offer. I phoned NZIS and was told it could take 8 - 12 weeks for the EOI to be checked.

I should try and chill for a while longer before worrying.

Cheers,

Mark. :nice1
